This is about how I'm feeling

Saw this great film clip on Ifilm, thought you might like to see it. It about sums up how I'm feeling about EFL in Japan these days, not the blog, the career.

That was very funny and bizarre. Was this clip really made for English study or was is some kind of gag?

Hey! I am an EFL teacher in Korea. I check your blog a few times a week.

I can relate to this post. Isn't is sad?

Come check out my blog sometime: http://forapurpose.typepad.com

efl geek,
Sorry about the nightmares. I don't know what to tell you. My guess is that counselling won't even help with this particular video.

jh,
from the looks of the credits at the end, it looks like it was made for English study. What's funny is that, if faced with a mugger, these phrases would probably be the furthest thing from the mind of a Japanese traveler with marginal English skills.

forapurpose,
thanks for your support. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so I laughed. There was something on the radio the other day about the various kinds of laughter and how they are not all created equal. I'm sure there was something in there about laughing at sad things.

Thanks for this, Daniel. It's so heartening to know that all those years of hard work teaching EFL in Japan have borne fruit. He-he. And thanks for pointing out this obvious future direction for EFL in Japan.
