pearbags
I ride to work through a pear orchard. Each individual baby pear is put in its own individual bag until it is ripe. Of course this is all done by hand. Talk about labor-intensive farming.
I've just found your blog. I am teaching (on a faculty exchange) for a semester at Hyogo Kenritsu Daigaku in Kobe. I have become quite interested in the ways that English Language teaching in Japan intersects with the whole Patriotism/national identity issue. Your blog seems to have shut down for the summer. If you'd be around and available for a conversation between now and the end of July, I'd love to try to connect. My US e-mail address is the best.
