Class pumpkin

One of my colleagues got us some pumpkins from Hokkaido, and we carved them today in my second period class. I only had one class today, and today is Halloween, so before anyone starts shouting "foul..." They had never carved a pumpkin before, so this was a treat. I assigned all of the students to one of three groups. Each group was responsible for one part of the face, the eyes, the nose, and the mouth. Jack-o-lantern by committee. We all had lots of fun. I'd like to get more, but they are very expensive. More than ¥1,000, or about $10, and that's the small size.
