Teaching at a high school

Today was the first day of a three-day stint at a local high school. It is a real eye opener. I enjoy some of the kids and can take some of the others. I have mentioned before that I'd like to get ahold of their curriculum. I'd also like to get the students some self determination. They are supposed to be training young people to be functional adults, but I'm not sure where that maturation is supposed to happen. Tomorrow is another long one.
