For as long as I have been here, I have wondered that parents, who have learned English for at least 6 years during their school years, leave language education to the school system. They know that formal English education isn't going to be enough to put their children on track for being bilingual, and they fret, but they don't do much on their own. Now it seems that some parents are. There are parents, both speakers of English as a Second Language, who are using English with their children. You gotta love it! Finally.
