If there are differences in the way Canadian students fared, I would wager they would even out or disappear over a whole long series of such competitions. Besides which, mastery of whatever math wins contests doesn't translate into an ability to use it, or be creative with it, right?<BR/><BR/>Just saying. I'm from Canada and I'm dreadful at math. I guess I should read it, though, because it might include a section on what the actual agenda of the system is.
